My blog usually posts on actors and actresses I've never included animals but I thought it would be fun to make a post on my favorite animal, dogs. Below are 5 famous dogs to get to know.




Skippy
Breed: Wire Fox Terrier
Best know as Asta in The Thin Man series. 
Also appeared in Bringing Up Baby (1938) and The Awful Truth (1937)



Terry
Breed: Cairn Terrier
Born: 1933 - Died: 1945
Best Know as Toto in The Wizard Of OZ 
Terry has a permanent memorial at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. 



Rin Tin Tin
Born 1918 - Died 1932
Breed: German Shepard
Appeared in 27 films from 1922-1931
Was a rescue dog from World War 1, by American solider Lee Duncan.



Pal
Born: 1940 - Died: 1958
Breed: Rough Collie
Best know for the films Lassie Come Home (1943) and Son of Lassie (1945)
Was a male, portraying a female dog. 



Pete
Also known as Pal, The Wonder Dog.
Born: 1924 - Died 1930
Best known for the Our Gang shorts. 
Hollywood make-up artist Max Factor added the dark circle around Pete's eye.
