5 Hispanic Actors To Know

September 15th begin Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs until October 15th. In honor of that I've put together 5 actors (mostly silent film stars) you should know. Now I know most people are familiar with Rita Hayworth, Desi Arnaz and Rita Moreno and so forth so I decided to put down actors you might not be familiar with.



Anita Page
Born Anita Evelyn Pomares to a Spanish father whose roots traced back to El Salvador.

Myrtle Gonzalez
On her father's side her roots trace back to Mexico. 
Gonzalez is considered the first Hispanic film star.

Beatriz Michelena
On her father's side her roots trace back to Venezuela. 
Older sister Vera was also an actor and father Fernando was a famous tenor.

Gilbert Roland
Born Luis Antonio Damaso de Alonso in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Barry Norton
Born Alfredo Carlos Biraben in Buenos Aires.
