Saturday begins Hispanic Heritage Month and I thought I'd make a post on some films to check out. You should note that a lot of these films have white actors playing Hispanics and Latinos and some are sterotypical, but personally I feel that they should still be seen and know some history on the actors. Also, I haven't decided if I want to stop at the 1980's or the 1990's, even though I don't consider those decades that old. August's Original and Remake is The Great Gatsby. It is based on the 1925 book of the same name by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The first time I saw the '74 version I fell asleep and after giving it another chance I was bored throughout the whole thing. There was pretty scenery but that's about it.
