There are several movies that have the same title but are a different movie. Here are a few of the original movies and the never movie with a different storyline.  Mr. and Mrs. Smith (1941) Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005) Mr. and Mrs. Smith - The 1941 version is a screwball comedy starring Carole Lombard and Robert Montgomery and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, yes really! The 2005 version is an action comedy starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. In the 1941 version the lead couple discovers they aren't legally married. In the 2005 version the lead couple are assassins assigned to kill each other.  Fear (1946) Fear (1996) The 1946 version is a noir that is an Americanized retelling of Crime and Punishment, after a medical student murders a professor.
