What's On TCM in September

Highlights For September Susan Hayward is Star of the Month airing Thursdays throughout the month. TCM Spotlight Five Came Back with 47 films airs Tuesdays throughout the month. Telluride Tribute airs September 7th with 12 films and 1 special.  Diahann Carroll is this month's Guest Programmer airing September 30th. The four films she picked are: Claudine (1974), Now, Voyager (1942), Gilda (1946) and Glory (1989) James Dean's Television Legacy airs September 25th with 8 shows. TCM Tribute to Omar Sharif airs September 21st. Icons of The 1920s

I've decided I want to start something about famous women of decades past who are known as beauty and/or style icons. I'm starting with the 1920s and I will go through the 1970s. I'll probably do a post like this either once a month or every other month. Let's get started. Louise Brooks Famously known as an actress and for her bob haircut.  Clara Bow Famously known as an actress and for her (again) bobbed hair and heart shaped lips. Meaning she'd put her lipstick on in the shape of a heart which many women copied.  Mary Pickford Famously known as an actress and for her long locks.  Lillian Gish Famously known as an actress and (again) for her long locks which were never cut unlike Pickford who after cutting her hair in 1928 as a form of independence outraged fans.
